Abbiamo spesso nominato i fratelli “britpop” della band Oasis, oggi vi riportiamo la dichiarazione di Liam Gallagher sul nuovo stemma del City.
Le parole del musicista sono del 1998, sembra tanto tempo fa, ma Liam aveva captato int empo quanto sta accadendo nel football, una lenta distruzione che prima o poi colpisce tutte le società e le tifoserie.
L’ex Oasis disse:
“Sembra lo stemma della Lazio con quell’aquila. Il vecchio logo aveva una nave sul Canale di Manchester e la rosa del Lancashire. Quando è stata l’ultima volta che avete visto un’aquila a Manchester?”
Niente di più vero!
Qualcuno continuerà a lottare contro il calcio moderno, contro la distruzione di valori e pietre miliari del football, quel pallone che abbiamo sognato, accarezzato e che è stato nostro fino a che è stato possibile.
Ora però godiamoci Champagne Supernova, canzone mitica che gli Oasis hanno pubblicato nel 1995 nell’album (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?, un disco fantastico e come singolo per l’etichetta musicale Creation Records:
